Great news folks. On Saturday, November 22, 2014, El Paso: 1850-1950, tied for 1st place in the Book Publishers of El Paso 2nd Annual Worthy of Being Called Excellent Book Award 2014. The category was Non-Fiction/Information Books. The ceremony was held at El Paso Community College (EPCC). Opening remarks were made by Book Publisher proprietor Jeanie Glenn. The welcome and introduction was provided by Janine Rudnick, Special Assistant to the EPCC president, William Serrata. My award was presented by Mr. Ed Prado and his daughter Eydie.

El Paso:1850-1950 was released by Acadia Publishing in 2009 for their series, Images of America. It was the first series of its kind released in El Paso. It is also my first book. I have always been very proud of it.

Thanks you to Jeanie and everyone involved. It is a great pleasure.
