Composed in 1976. Part of the Last Blue Note Sessions. This is a beautiful song that was recorded on what was then known as a Unisynth. An odd-shaped plastic guitar with a rubber-molded neck and six strings toward the body of the guitar that were all the same size. I plugged it into a Yamaha brain and created a piano sound. It is what it is.

Lyrics

Things have been stormy now for
quite some time
Bein’ followed ’round by that old north wind
My body screams for resting while my mind it says to move on
The search for that rainbow of love goes on

Seems like
every time
I fall in love
I lose a piece of my mind

Oh Lord when you bring the next one around
bring her ’round slowly
let her
feel her ground
I’m not even close to bein’ a mean old man
if-in I was well I could
understand

Seems like
every time
I fall in love
I lose a piece of my mind
